Last few weeks I was mainly playing with PlateSpin Migrate 8.1.3 trying to force it works. Together with Novell support engineers we fix almost all main problems which were blocking our P2V project on one of our customers.
If you have a problem with installing PlateSpin migration agent, during migration workload, when job is failing at point 5.1 Setting up controller on source server (Failed) on source server modify below line:
On web.config file change value from true to false on following line:
Program FilesPlateSpin Portability Suite Serverweb.config
<add key=”InstallControllerUsingService” value=”true” />
Reboot PlateSpin server after modification
