Platespin Migrate 8 – migrate servers behind firewall

In case you have to migrate server which is behind firewall perform below steps:

  1. MS KB article how to limit port range for RPC – KB 154596
  2. Open following ports:
    • source server >> target server
      Port: 3725 TCP – data transfer
    • platespin server >> souce server
      Port: SMB (TCP 139, TCP 445, UDP 137,UDP 138), 135 TCP/445, and RPC ports which you specified while made port limitation – default port range 5000-5100 TCP
