VMware just announced that registration for VMware Certified Design Expert is now open. Defence sessions are scheduled during VMworld 2012 in San Francisco and Barcelona. One can submit design based vSphere4 or vSphere 5, If you have plans to submit design in vSphere 4, I think those are the two are the last chances for you.
You have to choose, either awesome VMworld event or VCDX defence 😉
