I came across very good tech stuff founded on my friend’s Marek blog about Site Recovery Manager version 5. For those who don’t know what Site Recovery Managers is below quick characteristic of the product:
VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager can manage failover from production datacenters to disaster recovery sites, as well as failover between two sites with active workloads, and what is very important with SRM5 it is possible to fail back 🙂 (what in version pre-5 wasn’t so easy) without additional SRM reconfiguration. Multiple sites can even recover into a single shared recovery site. Site Recovery Manager is often used for planned migrations and preventive failover to avoid disasters. With Site recovery Manager is possible to perform test failover, in case company’s disaster recovery exercises administrators can quickly perform test failover and print report with exercises results.
Marek, put a lot of effort to create SRM5 series with very good results. Have a nice read, it is worth
