Nutanix terminology updates

Since version 4.5.X Nutanix changed terminology for some of the products. Below – you can find list with new (on left) and former (on right) terminology.

  • Acropolis Base Software – Nutanix Operating System, NOS
  • Acropolis Hypervisor, AHV – Nutanix KVM hypervisor
  • Acropolis API – Nutanix API and Aropolis API
  • Acropolis App Mobility fabric –  Acropolis virtualization management and administration
  • Acropolis Distributed Storage Fabric, DSF – Nutanix Distributed Filesystem (NDFS)
  • Block fault tolerance – Block awareness
