UPDATE 17/03/2016
Looks like Sony fixed GPS fix issue with new Android 6.0 Marshmallow release. I tested several applications (Google maps and Waze) today. Both application catch GPS fix very quickly (compare to previous Android 5.1.1 version) and did not loos it after few meters. I will continue my tests and keep post updated. So far looks promising.
UPDATE 17/04/2016
I made a trip from Germany (Frankfurt) to Poland (Sadlinki) using my Sony Xperia Z5c as navigation system. I used Waze as navigation application. In general, Sony Xperia Z5c sucks terribly (forgive me me French here) as navigation device. It does work fairly good on open space, outside of urban areas but when I drove into the city or village, it immediately lost GPS fix and there is no chance it can get it back.
My wife has Sony Xperia Z5, It does work very well, keeps GPS signal even when driving between high buildings and in deep forest.
UPDATE 18/04/2016
I give my Sony Xperia Z5c back to shop. We will see what Sony service will say.
UPDATE 01/05/2016
I got new device from re-seller. Lets see if there are any changes.
UPDATE 01/06/2016
After my trip to US (California, Illinois, Minnesota) I can say that new phone works perfect with Google Maps and Waze. Can’t complain.
But…. Bluetooth devices (like my Plantronics Legend headset had voice quality issues)
UPDATE 07/06/2016
Sony released new build for Z5C and Z5 , build number is (32.2.A.0.224). I will update my devices today and let you know if anything changed. I hope Sony fixed Bluetooth issues I have with audio devices
