Nutanix Prism Central 5.7 is ready to download

On May 1’st Nutanix released new version  (version 5.7) of Prism Central. Prism Central 5.7 brings new features for CALM.

Major new features in CALM are:

  • Support for Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Support for VMware vSphere 5.5, 6.0 and 6.50
  • Market place versioning – let’s you publish versioned blueprint application
  • SSH in web browser

NOTE: vSphere 6.7 is not supported yet.

Prism Central 5.7

Prism Central 5.7 can manage clusters (also known as Prism Element clusters) running these AOS releases.

  • 5.6 through 5.6.0.x
  • 5.5 through 5.5.0.x
  • 5.1 through 5.1.5.x
  • 5.0 through 5.0.4.x

Prism Central 5.6

Prism Central 5.6 can manage clusters (also known as Prism Element clusters) running these AOS releases.

As of Prism Central 5.6, Prism Central can manage clusters running more recent versions of the AOS 5.6 family (for example, Prism Central 5.6 can manage Prism Element clusters running up to AOS 5.6.0.9). In most previous releases, Prism Central could not manage Prism Element clusters running AOS versions newer than the Prism Central version.

  • 5.6 through 5.6.0.x
  • 5.5 through 5.5.0.x
  • 5.1 through 5.1.5.x
  • 5.0 through 5.0.4.x

Supported Browsers for the Web Console

The following browsers are supported for the Prism / Prism Central web console. The web console can be used with the current browser version and previous two major versions.

  • Firefox
  • Chrome
  • Safari
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 10 and 11
  • Microsoft Edge
